Cluff in the Community (CSR)

Cluff Gold believes in behaving responsibly and with consideration towards the local communities in which we work and the people who live in them. We strive to understand local needs and to create sustainable initiatives that bring benefits to the people and the communities, both during the time the Company is operating there, and long after we have gone. We employ workers from the areas in which we work so that the local communities enjoy steady wages and the other benefits regular employment can provide.

We appoint community liaison officers in our work areas and hold regular meetings that give local people the chance to talk about their concerns. By initiating schemes and inviting open communication, we form strong partnerships with these communities that demonstrate our respect for their needs and requirements as well as their customs and values.

Local community projects we have undertaken range from providing wells for safe drinking water, improving health care and education facilities, and building local community centres.
